Middle School

At Cornerstone our 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th graders make-up our rich and diverse middle school. Middle school students are at an exciting age. They are beginning to really stretch their minds and be challenged to think critically. Therefore, meeting their needs academically, to ensure they are ready for a rigorous high school and college curriculum is our top priority.

Equipping our students with the knowledge to help them navigate a confusing secular world, while staying true to the Word is the focus of their curriculum.

All middle school students take the following curriculum:

Bible

Foreign Language: Spanish

Physical Education

Mathematics: Course Level I, Course Level II, Pre-Algebra, Algebra

Science: Space & Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science

Social Studies: World History, Texas History, U.S. History

Language Arts: English 6^th, English 7^th, English 8^th

Reading Comprehension: Reading 6^th, Reading 7^th, Reading 8^th

Electives: Art, Band, Choir, Journalism, Speech and Debate

Texts include but not limited to: McGraw-Hill, McDougal-Littell, A Beka, BJU Press, Shurley English
