Preschool

Over seven years ago, Cornerstone began our school with a foundational Bible verse, “Let the little children come to me.” Seven years later, we still believe that it has a profound meaning for how we as educators are to teach our little ones.  Jesus paid special attention to the children, and we at Cornerstone believe that we need to follow his example.

Cornerstone Christian Academy began as a preschool in 2003.  Our preschool program follows curricula based on the four facets in our vision – spiritual, educational, social and physical.  Kindergarten readiness and the love of Jesus go hand-in-hand with our preschool program.  The children attend classes in music, P.E., and library as part of their weekly rotation. Concrete “hands-on” learning experiences advance children to higher levels of language, thinking skills, and problem solving.  Through these activities, basic skills are introduced, practiced and mastered.  A wide range of enrichment activities broaden the child’s vocabulary, creativity and experience.  A preschool student’s day includes recess on the playground, circle time, centers and naptime.  Our preschool students are loved, safe and nurtured in an environment immersed in learning while having fun.

Cornerstone’s teachers have years of experience and bring creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom.  Our teachers model Christian principles as they lead children to know God as their Father and Jesus as their Savior. A highlight of the day for our preschool students is chapel where our wonderful teachers bring the Bible to life.

Our preschool program serves two-year-olds through four-year-olds.  Cornerstone meets the needs of our growing community by offering two-day, three-day and five-day options.  Please stop by any Wednesday morning at 10:00 for a tour, we would love to show you around.
