Leadership

A TIME TO LEAD

By prioritizing relationships and a culture of mutual respect, CCA has developed an environment where students can celebrate their unique strengths and recognize the strengths of others. It is also a safe place to make mistakes and learn from them. The environment that is created in our middle school weaves Christian values throughout—providing a source of strength and perspective.

Life House Groups

CCA Life House Groups (LHG) give everyone a place and reason to belong. Similar to student council, houses have defined leadership positions that are earned with seniority and staff identified ability. These multi-grade level groups strengthen the bond among students and staff as they meet for a time of devotion, prayer, and sometimes friendly competition.

Houses also provide opportunities for student growth through leadership, mentoring, and a platform for enriching our school. Students learn to support one another and to lend help when someone on their team is struggling, no matter their age or ability. Some of the other ways our Houses serve include:

  • Developing and presenting Middle School Chapel programs.
  • Leading a Middle School Fun Night with games, food, and devotion.
  • Participate in quarterly service projects designed and planned by their group. These projects may be on campus or out in the community.
  • Mentoring elementary students through specific age-appropriate interactions.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are a small group of energetic and dedicated students who help the admissions and marketing department at Cornerstone Christian Academy. They demonstrate student pride while being a liaison between CCA and the community.  Above all, Student Ambassadors have a desire to serve Christ and a love for Cornerstone Christian Academy and will communicate this in all aspects of their life.

National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society Dana Wright Chapter elevates CCA's commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These five pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception. NJHS is a student organization that consists of chapters in middle schools. Students in grades 6–8 who meet the requirements for membership are eligible to be invited for membership. Students must be in their second semester of sixth grade for consideration.
