Spiritual Life
Cornerstone Christian Academy holds a strong belief in the importance of providing an environment where children not only flourish academically but feel comfortable to be themselves while learning the moral and character lessons provided in the Bible.
Students are active participants in the spiritual life of our school. Whether it is acting out a scene from the Bible in our Preschool Program, reciting a Bible verse from memory in Elementary, or planning an entire chapel service and lesson in Middle School—CCA students grow and thrive in their faith during their time at CCA.
Daily Chapel
Daily Chapel is an uplifting time of song, dance, praise, worship, and learning that students look forward to each day. This time with their peers, in a safe place of praise and worship, sets the tone and mindset for their academic day. Students benefit from the teachings of the Bible, as well as the testimony and life lessons of their teachers and peers. Children are comfortable bringing both their joys and fears to the conversations held here, openly praying for one another and celebrating each other’s successes. Weekly girls and boys chapel also provides an opportunity for deeper conversations and lessons relevant to their unique concerns and challenges.
Preschool Chapel is designed to teach students about God’s love for them in a simplistic and creative way utilizing daily chapel to bring the Bible to life. CCA encourages elementary students to begin developing a personal prayer life. Using different mediums to share the gospel message, lessons focus on God’s love, obedience, listening, praise, worship of the Savior, and common events children face daily. When students enter middle school, CCA targets helping students navigate the difficult path of adolescence. We highlight proper relationships with God, parents, teachers, and peers with attention given to individual needs. Middle School chapel is designed to challenge and engage the students’ hearts and minds.
