Cornerstone Fund

CCA is blessed that tuition covers 100% of our operating budget. The Cornerstone Fund allows us to explore possibilities outside of the operating budget. Some of the many things that The Cornerstone Fund has made possible are:

CCA is a registered 501(c)3 organization, meaning that we are tax exempt and operate much like a charity. One prominent benefit to being a non-profit organization is that we are able to accept major donations from corporations and foundations, which are usually more willing to fund projects and improvements if a school has a consistent and robust Annual Fund. A high participation rate in our Annual Fund shows that you know and care about what is going on fiscally at Cornerstone Christian. Without raising tuition to extremely-high levels, we could never afford to improve the facilities, upgrade technology, improve curriculum, and provide professional development for our staff and faculty at the level we do. The Cornerstone Fund is a vital part of the Cornerstone experience. If we were to raise tuition to a level that would allow us to do everything we need and our families expect, it would put a Cornerstone education out of reach for many families. Additionally, tuition is not tax-deductible; however, a gift to The Cornerstone Fund is.

It is common for donors and foundations outside of the CCA community to ask about those closest to the school, especially staff and families. A high rate of participation shows that our community is bought in and, also encourages others to be generous to Cornerstone. Our goal is 100% family participation. 

Yes. When you make a pledge or donation, the participation credit is applied to each of your children.

Everyone in the Cornerstone Christian Academy community–parents, grandparents, school employees, Board Members, and friends of the school. Each fall we are asked to make a gift or pledge payable by June 30. Giving Levels are recognized in our Annual Report each year.

Support for The Cornerstone Fund is critical to the school's mission, Skills for Life and Faith for Eternity, and should be a prayerful consideration for each family. We encourage our donors to give thoughtfully and to their ability, knowing that gifts make a difference and collectively provide students with the opportunity to receive an outstanding faith-based education. Whether you give $25, $250, $2,500, $25,000 or somewhere in between, every gift makes an impact and investment in Skills for Life and Faith for Eternity.

There are several ways you can make your gift.

1. Mail your gift to the Business Office with “Cornerstone Fund” specified on the check.
2. Contact the Advancement Office directly at (281) 566-3125.
3. Make your gift online by clicking the Donate Online button under the support tab. Please note that online gifts are only accepted for gifts of $250 and above.
4. Make a pledge (a promise to give that can be paid at a later date). You can email your pledge to Melissa Borromeo at mborromeo@cornerstonecca.org. You have until June 30 to donate the amount pledged. Donations to The Cornerstone Fund by check are preferred to avoid any fees incurred by CCA.

Many companies will match their employees’ gifts to a non-profit organization. CCA will handle all the paperwork necessary to facilitate these matching gifts. The Leadership Circle recognizes families who contribute $2,500 or more to The Cornerstone Fund. We realize that this is a substantial amount and not appropriate for all families. However, a meaningful number of donations at this level is crucial for the overall success of The Cornerstone Fund. Donors who make gifts at this level are invited to a thank you event in August.
